Hello and welcome to my scrumptiously scandalous corner of the internet! I am Adam, La Bearded Lady himself! Thank you for stopping by to see what shenanigans I am getting into in the kitchen. I am a Pennsylvania-based chef, recipe developer, food photographer, graphic designer, and beard queen.
My culinary journey started back in 2015 when I got my first full-time job after college and started meal prepping. I will be the first one to admit that what I was making and how I was documenting it was pure unadulterated slop. Don't believe me? Check out my early posts on Instagram (@labeardedlady). They are cringeworthy!
However, the longer I committed to brainstorming, executing, styling, and photographing my dishes, my love for it grew more passionate and I strove to challenge myself every week. It would not be until the end of 2019 when I fully came to realize what I wanted to accomplish with my culinary curiosities. And so my brand, La Bearded Lady, was born.
It all kicked off when I did a photoshoot with my friend's leather fetish gear (apron, biker cap, and gloves) and a whisk (and a shameless nip slip). It set the tone of what I hoped to achieve with my brand: to showcase the seductive and sultry qualities of healthy cuisine. I aim to combat the idea that healthy food is bland, listless, and (most importantly) unsexy.
So whether I am sharing an ample dose of food porn, or stripping down to an apron, fishnets, and high heels, I hope you enjoy the creative journey with me and try some of what La Bearded Lady is whipping up in the kitchen.
